I keep forgetting to write down all the funnies

Kellan has been saying lately. A few months ago

on a Sunday afternoon Rick and I were cuddling on the couch 

and Kellan came over too but I told him to stop wriggling so he went

and sat in the corner and said, " Fine just sit there and cuddle with your husband if 

that's what you want to do and not me. Ya dad you , you are the husband I'm talking about"

It was sooo funny!

Then last night Rick spanked my butt to be funny and Kellan got really upset

 and said, " Dad you know I love mom more than you, right ? Right dad? I love her more than you

and I don't like it when you spank her like that and had his finger out pointing at Rick."

Lastly, Kellan had a sore throat and said, " Mom, I think you should sneak some flowers tomorrow

while you are running and bring them to me and say Kellan I know your throat hurts so I brought you

some flowers. Okay mom? But forget I told you to do it. 

This kid is too much. and yes I collected flowers outside and yes he pretended like he was surprised.

He told me there are only 3 cute girls at school and the rest are blahhhh 

there's a 3 year old he said who thinks she's older and says she's keeping her eyes 

on me and other girls say move Kellan move, they are all just so bossy.

Don't forget the "King of the Looker " who apparently just stares at him all day.

This kid is at school for his social life... It's too much

Labor Day Ely, Nevada

 Rick took the kids and Grandma and Grandpa M to 

Ely, Nevada for Labor Day weekend. They had a blast

staying at Hotel Nevada and fishing and riding the train.

Too much fun! Mom stayed home with Oak and had some silence:)

 lots of fish :)

they said the train was so fun! Apparently a 95 year old hit 

Grandma Ms car at the train station and took off because she was

late to a wedding so they had to track her down.. never a dull moment

First Day of School

 It's hard to believe that we've already finished the 3rd week 

of school. Kellan started prek  with Mrs. Schreiner at Seton Academy. 

He was suppose to only go for half day Mon- Thurs but his teacher

felt bad that he was missing out on all the crafts and fun so we tried full day

last  week and he did awesome!! He is definitely grouchy and tired but it's all new 

so we are going with it. I started my 17th year. YIKES 

and I don't really like my class so far. When it starts with eye rolls on day 1 and

other behavior problems, I'm not too excited but guess I have to deal with it somehow

and keeping my sanity which is about gone from teaching this long...

 I love that his favorite subject is Be Healthy 

He was so excited for school...

 Mia is starting 4th grade in Ms. Frazier's class

It's my least favorite grade but we will make it through haha...

and of course our class of 2026 shirt! Oak wanted to be apart 

of these pics. I will need to get one for Kellan next year too :)

Seattle/ Bainbridge Island vacation

 well it was finally here. Kellan has been waiting for the day 

we got to fly to Seattle! He was beyond excited and so was Mia. 

They were both awesome on the plane. They did better than me!

 we got our rental car and Kellan passed out 

Then we headed to the ferry to go over to Bainbridge to our Beach house.

 checking out our place for the week. It was actually

about 5 minutes from Bainbridge in Suquamish which is actually

a Native American tribe so it was definitely interesting.

seriously gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. They say it's the rainforest of 

the United States and lucky for us we were there without rain which is rare!

 our 1920 beach house that was fixed up in the 1970's.

It was actually a perfect size for the 4 of us. Too many

spider webs for Rick but it was comfortable and had a jacuzzi

and a fun yard. We were also surrounded by really big cabins..

 it's so funny because in the morning the tide would be out and there 

was a sea of sooo many sea creatures. Mia can never find a sand dollar 

in California and there were thousands.. she was so happy. She got one for all her

cousins. There were sea erchants everywhere and clams spraying us, the kids got to

discover every morning.

 we went in town and had lunch, did the candy shop and walked around a 

cute little used book store where they both got books to read for the week.

 they had two kayaks but they were singles so I crammed Kellan in with me

but Mia didn't want to go alone and I couldn't blame her. It was the ocean and

it got a little crazy in the afternoon..

 everyone told us to go to Indianola days where there

was a sand castle contest and a festival well the sand castles 

were AMAZING. 

 the festival was pretty much one tiny tent set up so we stayed

for awhile and then drove to a Naval Submarine place 

 kids got to explore the submarines 

 then we found more beaches but they weren't use to the rocks or the seaweed :)

Poulsbo and I loved it..

 so the sun was up at about 5 am and didn't set until 10:30!

We blacked out the kids' room but it was sooo bright!!

 we headed into Seattle a few days and went to the 

Seattle Aquariam

 this was our favorite. They each got their own crab and it was adorable

 we went to lunch with Fitzimmons and it was

so nice to see them. This was the first time they got to meet the kids :)

 Coolest Children's museum!! 

 it was so cool! They had a bunch of different rooms in different countries.

 and we found a beach in Seattle with white

sand Alki beach.

 Kellan said bye mom I'm going to find friends!

And he did! They were even doing push up competitions on the sand.

to eat breakfast at a really yummy place.

 the last day we found another amazing beach at a place

called Point no Point. It had a light house too.

I didn't know it also had sand fleas so I spent my last night with Benedryl 

and itching and huge bumps alllll over my legs. Fun stuff! 

 we told the kids if they were really good they 

could get something at the toy store at the end of the 

week! It was a fun trip. Lots of exploring, finding new 

places and new creatures and hanging out : )  

 We got back to more cousins! They were here all 

week so we only got to see them for a day but we fit in

all the fun we could! 

and we even did a sleepover! Rick had it under control and they slept til 8 am!

It was super fun and the boys playing police officers all day.

We can't wait to see them again!
