We had to put our beautiful Spock down in

September, Mia really wanted him to make it

until she graduated high school but that just wasn't in the cards

His kidney disease took effect really fast from August- September

and we didn't want him in pain anymore. 

Mia basically lost her best friend so it has been heartbreaking

17 years is a really long time.

I made a rash decision to get a rescue kitty only a month after Spock passed.

Probably not rational at all but her name was Sequoia like the tree

and Oak is named after a tree so I thought it was meant to be...

Christmas time

We decided to take Mia to the Utah schools so she

could check them out and went to a BYU football game which was fun

Rick and I snuck away to the Dominican Republic before he retired

and found a human jaw bone!

it was a quick trip, I had a lot of work and kid anxiety so  I felt bad

Kellan turned 13!!! How is he a teenager? 

This kid is so smart, funny, such a foodie,

loves deep, always up for an adventure, loves sports, basketball, football,

we just love him so much!!
