September Happenings

 I had these cute pics on my phone right 

before we went back to school: we did a playdate

with Kira, went to the Discovery Museum and swimming, we had a blast!

 Kellan absolutely loves when Kira comes to play

 they even had to change into matching shirts

 they played dress up at the museum and Rick did not want me to let 

Kellan come out in this but I did anyway, what was I suppose to do??

Anyway, his face says it all!!

 they both want to be vets, have a mansion, be roomates,

have a yaht, the list goes on and on, but unless this Common Core math doesn't

go away before she gets into college, I'm not sure we will be a doctor!

 I've been trying to get my dad to build a playhouse for

the kids and he is so busy, I bought this one for $50 just to appease them for awhile.

They love it!

 this kid is cracking me up: he is still taking over an hour to just 

fall asleep after throwing bears, toys, telling me I'm a mean mom,

he's mad at me, he's not tired, on and on

The conversations he has are so funny:

The other night he said:

-everyone toots even my grandmas

-horses have big butts

- my peepee is now bigger than dad's

 not only is he not going to bed easily, he still randomly gets up in the middle of the 

night screaming and still refuses to poop in the potty. He pees just fine, so now he is going outside to

poop- kid you not, so we pretty much have a dog that we clean up after daily

all I know is he needs to have this written down so that he knows what a flexible mom I was with him.

 this is the love that Mia gets after school, he just misses her sooo much.

Rick walks her to school a lot and Kellan just loves doing that. He also is just loving his sitter Kinzy who is watching Kellan just for the month of September until she gets married. He is so in love with her, thinks she's his girlfriend, puts his special shirt on when she comes over ( Blaze and the Monster Machine) and the other day he said, "Kinzy can I see a picture of "your guy" so she showed him and he said, "Okay I guess he's cool." this kid is too much

 We finally got our pool done right before Labor Day and the kids of course are loving these last

few weeks of summer. They love our pool but still want to go to grandma's house too!

It's pretty warm for not having the heater up all the time so that's good and we are finishing our

backyard too, so more pics to come!

 We also ran to the lake on Labor Day with grandma and grandpa B

We went all the way to a restaurant and had yummy burgers and Mia even stood up on the wake board with grandpa ( for a $$ bribe)

 Let the brainwashing begin: football season with the Seahawks!

Kellan is also getting lots of extra time with his dad while we are at school

Wally brought Kyse and Laith to Vegas for a few days- we didn't get enough pictures but

they got to go to the lake on Friday and then the kids just swam and played

The guys even got to go to the movies Friday night.

The kids loved it and everyone was sad that they had to go home.

First Day of School

 Mia is in 2nd grade this year! So hard to believe. She loves school

but was not ready for summer to end!

 Kellan was also not ready for summer to end

He gets so sad when Mia leaves. This whole week he has

been patiently waiting for her return and then has to continue waiting

for her homework to be done before they can play. Mia has been such a good

sister this week playing with him when I know she's tired.

 My 15th year, yes I said 15 and don't I look excited about that!

She's getting a little bigger every year in her graduation shirt :)

She is in the same class as her little BFF Kira and has a little boy named

Maxwell who tried kissing her last year and now is in her class telling her she has some 

strong abs this year. WEIRD. Rick did not like that comment to say the least.

Hopefully it's a great school year for us both!

End of Summer

 Kellan was banging all over the place at night so decided

to change his toddler bed into a full and even get some new car bedding which 

he absolutely loves as you can see! He's been getting up all night screaming down the hall and taking forever to go back to sleep, not sure if it's night terrors or what but it's pretty miserable. We had lavender through a diffuser so I took it out and he then starting sleeping all night. Yay!! But even one

night Rick heard him screaming and he had found his scooter and was riding it down our hallway at 1 am!! 

 this is him giving me the thumbs up on our way to swim at grandma's which we have done at least once sometimes twice a day all summer! We can't wait for our pool to be done too so we can trade off. The other day I asked him what he wanted for a snack, and he said "Hmmmm, can I have some poop?" Then he just started laughing hysterically. He talks about pooping and tooting and farting all day long..

 we went to a fun Gravady place where they got to jump on trampolines and run

around like crazy kids, 

 Rick was having fun too until he jumped and hurt his back,

I said see you are too old..

we have also been to the Discovery Museum a bunch of times!

 and celebrated Spock's 6th birthday!

 last weekend we headed up to Mt. Charleston for a hike

Kellan was so funny, he would not let us hold his hand and he actually did an awesome job

on the hike, it was cute. Mia did awesome too and loved looking for walking sticks.

Tomorrow is the first day of school

Mia's in 2nd grade and this will be my 15th year teaching :/
