Duck Creek and Kellan

 Duck Creek: we decided to go to Duck Creek the weekend

before I went back to work. Unfortunately Rick decided to jump on

a four wheeler the first 30 minutes we get there and break his foot. Sooo

we only spent a few hours there. This is the cave with Mia and grandma and grandpa.

Spock's Bday, Rydalch Reunion, the zoo and Kellan is 7 months old!

 well Spock turned 4 in July and as you can see he is getting pretty happy in

his old age haha. Anyway I had to make a cake, make chicken kabobs (that Mia let him

eat) and a few presents..

 Mia LOVES her bday parties and she loved that Kellan

got to celebrate too.

 So we had it planned all summer to go to the Rydalch reunion 

(my mom's side) and go to Nicole's for 4 days and then Rick meet us 

and stay in Idaho for a week but Rick is testing for sergeant and of

course one of his tests was right smack in the middle of our trip ( he calls

it the Meyers luck) anyway so the kids and I and my mom flew to Nicole's to stay for a few

days and we had a blast- Logan is so fun and Mia just loves being with her cousins. Now if 

Kellan was sleeping , it would have been better for me. I literally got maybe 8 hours of sleep the entire

5 days. So then Rick drove all night Friday night to come and meet us for the reunion. We then drove

Saturday morning to Lava Hot Springs where my Aunt Patty lives which is only about an hour from Nicole's.

The kids got to ride horses which Mia LOVED. This is my uncle Carl and Mia. When I first

walked out to the horses, Mia was on by herself, and I about had a heart attack. Fixed that quickly.

 Off to the Lava pools- sooo packed, it was crazy, we couldn't

even find eachother but it was really fun and they have a new little kid

area that is awesome..

it was a fun reunion but pretty short. Rick actually found out my

cousin married his cousin. They were both Egan's so that was funny. 

It was nice to see my grandma. We wished we could have gone up to Rexburg and 

Pocatello to see the rest of my family and Rick's but he had to get back to work.

 On our way home we went to the Hogle Zoo which was the 

same zoo I went to when I was little. I just loved it there. I like

how it's small and quaint but it also has a ton of amazing animals too..

 look at Rick's face. Ha! Neither of us love things that go round and round

 they had a little water area and man was it hot!!

 I was so annoyed, this kid put his finger in one of the water spouts and it

sprayed all over me and Kellan. Rick thought it was fun and took a picture.

 the giraffes were so cool and they had a cute baby one.

 Mia just loves temples so we went to the 

Salt Lake Temple and she was in heaven.

 she made a wish on this fountain and told me she

wished that one day she would be with Heavenly Father again.

She's such a spiritual little thing :)

 this was funny: she went up and introduced herself to these

pioneers and asked how they were. It was a fun trip, short but fun.

Next summer Kellan will be easier in the car. We drove a total of 12 hours, pretty

long for a little guy...

 Kellan is 7 months old now on August 2nd. 

Stats: 20 lbs and so heavy

hard to hold, wiggles out of my arms,

 already does not fit in his carseat,

biggest feet you have ever seen!

And guess what ? Getting his first 2 teeth

and they are tiny just like Mia's.

 what can he do?? sit up, he's getting on all fours

and rocking back and forth ready to crawl.

says dada, babbles all day, repeats Mia when she screams,

looks for the kitty, claps with his hands ( started today)

and he is quite the funny thing (still grouchy too) 

yesterday Mia kept trying to put a binky in his mouth

and he kept spitting it out and then giggling his head off when Mia

would drop down and pick it up again...

 Mia is getting really attached to this cutie and finally liking that

she has a little brother and even asks when he is getting up from his

nap rather than why is he up already? haha. 

 Jay and Kellan are exactly 3 months apart so Nicole and I took a picture

of them when we were in Logan. How cute is this???? Kellan 7 mo and Jay 10!!
