Well these are the little kittens that aren't so little anymore that
we found in my mom's backyard. She has turned into the cat lady and
has about 4 cats including a tom who keeps getting the females pregnant.
The first batch got too wild fast so they are now
teenagers. So we made sure to grab these little ones
before they could get wild- we felt bad taking them
from their mommy but we don't want cats running around
everywhere.
We brought them to the neighbor's house
and she's kept them there until they were
ready to be adopted. Mia got the chance to
go say her goodbyes. I can't tell you how much
she LOVES cats, it reminds me of exactly how I was
when I was little. She absolutely ADORES them.

Here they are when we found them, sooo tiny! How did we manage to
not take one home? It was hard! Our cat Spock is a male siamese so I don't think
he would do very well with a kitten. I kept sending these pics on my phone to Rick
and he was getting nervous. He kept asking, " Why are you sending these to me?" Should
I be worried?"
All three little cuties!
 Happiest girl on earth
These pics are from a cute pumpkin patch down the street that Mia loves. She got to pick a pumpkin for preschool. We went because she had a rough day. She had to get bloodwork done because she's had a swollen lympnoid on her neck for a few years. The doctor says it's nothing and we are praying it's not, but it just bothers us so we need to have it checked. Of course it can be anything from nothing to allergies to the big C word that I won't say out loud. We have to wait a week for results, but prayers are welcomed. So after her bloodwork was done ( which was very traumatic, especially for dad) I took her to the pumpkin patch while Rick went hunting for the weekend :)
My new nephew Jay was born on October 2, 2012 and he is just adorable as you can
see. That makes 8 grandkids for my mom and dad and 9 with ours on the way. We can't wait to see
him for Thanksgiving! I promise to put a picture of my huge belly on here when I can get one. Mia tries to take one of me since Rick is gone at night and I see him for about 5 minutes in the morning, but her photography skills aren't perfect so I will have to wait until the weekend. Other than that,
we have just been super busy, super stressed with work, worrying about Mia, and other silly stresses caused by others,  I honestly don't even have time to think about being pregnant! I think it will fly by teaching all day every day...

September Happenings...

Mia before soccer! We put her in a skill based soccer program
through November and she's really loving it. They do scrimmages later
on, but they mostly focus on soccer skills at the beginning so they get prepared
to play on a team the next year!

 Such a ham!

Rick's 32nd Birthday! Mia helping him blow out his
yummy icecream cake! We celebrated on Friday night instead of Saturday
and then Rick and I went on a date Saturday night for his
birthday. Friday night, we went to dinner with Grandma
and Grandpa B and came home and had cake and icecream.

Mia helping him with his presents...
 Eating yummy cake
handsome birthday boy!! He told me that he didn't get a single
phone call on his birthday, only text messages. Texting
really is getting out of hand. Just saying....

Mia looked extra cute today for church,
so I took some pictures and of course she posed
for me... She's so funny. Someone told a joke while
speaking in sacrament and everyone laughed. Mia started
laughing and said, "Mom I didn't know you could laugh at church." haha

I am 23 weeks this week and I will post pics soon I promise,
but Mia wants to tell everyone I'm pregnant. The other day she said,
"Mom why don't you want to tell her you are pregnant? Are you embarassed that
you are pregnant, because my little brother wants everyone to know he's coming."
Too cute!

This kid has been so funny lately that I had to put it in my blog.
For those of you that don't know, you can do a blog to print every
year of your blog and it's honestly an investment for your child's
memories and even better than scrapbooking. They cost about $70 per year
depending on how much you write, but I just ordered her 4th journal and they are
safely put away for when she gets married. :)
Anyway, the other day she told me
that "She can't wait to grow up and be a mom so she can tell me what to do." Haha when I told
my mom that, she said yes and they do tell you what to do when they grow up. Too cute.
Then she told me that she's pretty sure that she's going to marry her brother when she grows
up and she asked if I thought he would like that. I said I'm sure he would and she said, well I hope he knows how to do the dip! ( bend her backwards when dancing hahahaha) I was cracking up!

Then she told me, "Mom I just want you to know that I'm probably not going to live with you
when I grow up and I don't want you to get upset about it. ( the same kid that is already planning which college she's going to)

Then her preschool teacher told Rick that she has designated herself as a playground duty helper.
But, there's no such thing as that job, she just appointed herself and stands next to the teachers and tells them who is being naughty. OOOHH boy. When I asked her about her job on the playground, she got mad and said, mom it's called playground duty and it's a very serious job. haha :). Do you think she's a teacher's kid? Scary! She also
gives hours of homework when she gets home. She is so into learning, we love it.

Bird Santuary and Car Show

Mia has a new sitter and she is loving her.
They built this really cute garbage truck and
you can't see inside, but there are even gas pedals.
It's very cool!

We have an exotic bird santuary down the road that
we have never even been to. Since Mia loves all animals big
or small, she had a blast
There was the cutest bird that kept saying, "What's the matter?"
We even got to pet a few that weren't testy
Aren't they beautiful? Since most birds live longer
than their owners, they have to be brought here.

They had some aggressive ducks too.
 And a minihorse
 chicks and chickens
even a white bird that looked like the mean one on Rio
This weekend Rick and Grandpa B went to a car show
with Mia at Bass Pro Shops. She told me she just had to
wear her Lightning McQueen shirt to the show ( the one that
I bought telling her that it's not allowed to leave the house haha)

Of course she wanted to see all the engines and had their make
and models memorized by the end of the day

Did you think this was a real dog? I did...

Even had corn on the cob for lunch. Fun day with the guys!!!

Preschool and Exciting News!

Mia's first day of preschool: Miss Kelli is her teacher and
Mia was very excited to go this year. She is going 3 days instead of 2 and
so far, she is coming home and giving herself hours of "pretend" homework
working on letters and numbers. It's pretty cute!
 I can't get a picture in without a certain cat's tail!

 She's a seahorse this year
Mia's class: I can't believe will be in Kindergarten
next year and come to school with me. Crazy! She's been saying the most
interesting things lately. Right before we were headed to church on Sunday, she told
Rick that heavenly father would be really sad if he knew that he was drinking coffee on a Sunday
(she saw his coffee cup in the bathroom) Rick was like oh this is from yesterday, I was just cleaning it out. It was so sad. Little did she know that dad just got home a few hours earlier and we were lucky he got up and went to church with such few hours of sleep :)
And we finally got pregnant. I will be 18 weeks this Friday and I took
this on Tuesday. We have been trying for almost 3 years. We kept it secret from Mia for the most part all the pain we were going through and trying the fertility avenue, but last March and April, she just started praying every single night for a baby brother/sister out of the blue and saying she's the only kid on the planet without one. It was really hard to hear that from your child. Well after two months of praying, we got pregnant. Of course we didn't tell her right away, we waited for 12 weeks, but the second I found out, she stopped with the prayers on her own and it just seemed like she knew already. It was crazy. We also got tons of prayers and our names in the temple for years, so thank you for that. Mia has been a little mom since she found out, telling me to drink water or I will be dehydrated. Asking why I'm burping so much... She's too cute and soo excited. The day we found out what we were having, we brought Mia. Apparently she wanted a sister, because when the tech told us it was a boy, she started bawling. It was sad. Then she came home and had this conversation with the cat: "Well Spock it's a boy, yup oh great, that's what I thought, so be prepared that when the baby gets here, he's going to pull your tail and throw you into the air." Sooo funny, she's just so used to preschool boys, she thinks they are all naughty! I'm worried too, I like my quiet, peaceful house of girls but according to my mom, Miss Mia would never let a boy be wild in our house, she runs the show and would keep him in line. Anyway, we are due Feb.1st and I will keep you updated! I did have a name that I'm just not ready to give up so we will see what we decide, but name suggestions are welcomed :)
