Mia and I went to the Yo Gabba Gabba Concert last
Thursday. We had back stage passes and seats in the 4th
row. It was awesome. Mia was a little freaked at how loud
it was at the beginning, and I forgot that it might be since we were
so close, but she soon forgot when she saw Toodee, Plex, Foofa,
Muno, and her fav Brobee

They gave everyone DJ Lance glasses to wear. Here
we are ready for the show to start!

Outside next to Muno before the concert- Rick
wanted to go but we couldn't afford to spend that much
with the REALLY good seats and back stage so he was bummed.
It was actually sad how excited I was, ha ha !

Mia had to wear her Brobee hoodie to show support!

She was actually pretty shy when it came to
dancing and singing, she knows EVERY song
but sang them very quietly, it was pretty funny.
Right before intermission, they let down a million Gabba balloons from
the ceiling. It was frustrating because all the kids wanted all the colors and
so parents were trying to hold their kids, balloons, purses, food, etc.
I could definitely have used Rick's help :)

It was amazing how the concert was EXACTLY like the
show. It was very entertaining. Plus they let the kids
dance and sing the whole time.

Happy girl- I probably won't do this again til she's a teenager
and has a crush on some cute boy singer but it was a really fun
mom/daughter date and it was a once in a lifetime thing, it was worth it

This is the aftershow, it was pretty much a huge
room with dancing, a dj, food, Gabba characters
to take pictures with, etc. It was a wild time!

Biz Markee was even there doing his beats and
letting the kids come up on the stage at the concert
and do beats with him. Of course he also did his
song, You say he's just a friend.

Little glimpse of the craziness of the aftershow,
Mia is sporting a Brobee backpack that I paid way too
much for but she was petting the girl next to her's the entire
concert and I just have a problem with collecting Gabba stuff.
He is now sleeping with her along with all the other Gabba's and Blues Clues.
It was a great time. There were some crazy parents there (no not me) but I'm glad we got to go!!

Forgot to add this one- Mia and Laith got
to sit on Santa's lap at the mall in Twin, no lines
or anything, which I realized why once I actually saw him
up close and heard the accent, the kids thought he was the real
deal, so that's all that matters :)
We went to my mom's house in Idaho for Thanksgiving.
This is what was waiting for us-tons of snow, we also
slid on the runway from the ice which was not my idea of fun.
It was -2 degrees when we arrived. This picture was taken after
we were outside for about an hour. Mia was cold but she LOVED it!

Ready to play!

Mia had to make a snow angel for Grandma M

Since it was Thanksgiving day, nothing was open so my dad
had to improvise with the sled, using a blow up pool. Mia loved it.

Here she is inside, just giggling away

Here we are in the field trying to sled- Rick went and
bought the only one they had at Walmart.

hanging out inside grandma's cozy, WARM house

It's fun to stay in pjs all day.

Mia next to her snowman and with bear of course!

We found the most AMAZING hill to sled down right next
to the river, it was a blast. She loved it, until...

grandpa took her down a different hill that was not so
much fun

Grandma and Mia- we had a great time, we even
went swimming at the indoor pool- brr, but it was actually
really fun. Mia loved spending time with Laith. She has been saying how
"frustrated" she is lately whenever she's in a bad mood. It's pretty funny.
Last night my mom and I were having a serious conversation and she said,
"mom why are you being so frustrated at grandma?" Man she doesn't miss a beat,
I can NEVER have a bad day or a moment to myself Ha Ha!

So Rick and I decided to drop Mia off at my mom's from Thursday afternoon until
Sat afternoon and go to Palm Springs for a little getaway. I wasn't even planning
on going anywhere but Mia has been begging us to let her have a "sleepover"
at Grandma B's. So my mom said just go somewhere for a few days. Well I
brought her over with her suitcase and she proceeded to take all her stuff out
and organize them in each drawer (kid you not) and then went in the bathroom
and organized all her bath stuff and then told me I need to leave because I was
just supposed to drop her off. Long story short, she was the happiest kid on the
earth until we picked her back up. She liked us for an hour and then realized that
she would rather be back at grandma's house, she actually said, "You and dad need
to go on another date and drop me back off." I even had to bring her over yesterday
so she could see grandma. She practically laid in her lap petting her like a puppy.
I have to remember that Mia did grow up there, slept on my mom's bed with her cats
when she was a week old, so I'm glad she loves her so much, it's pretty darn adorable :)
Oh she loves my dad too, they had fun hanging out and cuddling in his office.

I had to share the many dramatic moments
of Mia- happy cheese face ( we get this
for EVERY single picture, hope it's a stage or
Christmas cards will be interesting)

pretend mad face

my favorite face- sad but content and tired
(she has Rick's lips)

really mom? Pouty face

why does she look like Scott here Nicole?

Nways Mia is seriously such a spit fire dramatic little thing- she's so
funny but too smart for her own good. She's definitely a little bossy
likes her space but is the loviest thing giving kisses and hugs all day long.
Yesterday she said, "mom you just need to have patience." She corrects me on
everything, down to what things are called including that stop signs are octogons mom!

Love this- putting shaving cream in paint containers and
then using food coloring for colors- wipes up easy. Thanks Aunt Nicole :)

Just had to post this because it was too funny

identical
We have had a very busy few months including an interesting
little visit from a spirit according to Mia. I wanted to put it on my
blog since I print it out as a journal. Mia told me of a little girl
who has been coming in her room lately and won't go back to her house.
She was very specific, always talked about her before she went to bed,
could describe her, and told me she doesn't talk, she just comes through her
wall ( ya I freaked when she told me that) and that she just needs to go back to her
house. It has been very interesting to say the least, it lasted over a week to a point where
she didn't want to go to sleep because the little girl wouldn't go away. We don't know if it may be
a future sibling, etc, I do believe that little kids see more than we do, they aren't jaded like adults
and are so much more open to that kind of stuff. Nevertheless, we did have someone come over and
bless the house, say a prayer, and she didn't talk about her again. The only thing she said was that we
better tell Grandma B to watch out for her at her house. (funny) So that was Mia's first ghost encounter,
we will see if anyone else decides to visit (hopefully not while Rick works nights, I was a little freaked )

Halloween 2010

Our cute little pirate

She was very excited to go trick or treating, she would
run up to each house and scream "Trick or treat"
Then she would say look mom let's keep going
About 4 streets in, she says, "Dad I'm tired can
you hold me please?" We then went to both grandparents' houses
and headed home. The only thing she wanted were some cheetos a guy gave
her on the first house. It was a blast!

Mia had tons of fun decorating her pumpkins and then sitting
on each one, except this year I made Rick make sure she said
her goodbyes to her pumpkin friends. Last year he tossed them
in the trash and she found them and we had to hear about it for the next
month about how dad just tossed out her friends into the trash and they were sad!

She is so stinkin cute in leggings, why aren't adults?
She is just so tall and skinny.

She was proud. Grandpa helped because Rick got called
to work before we could get to it. Thanks Grandpa!

This year she was a little better at "digging" in the pumpkin guts!

grandpa B and Mia

some of you have asked about our dog Bentlley- well
here he is. I'm NOT excited about this picture. I don't like
inside dogs. He IS wearing shoes and I know it's silly but it's
a necessity! Anyway, doesn't he look miserable?

Unfortunately for him, the cat really enjoys attacking him,
biting him in the behind, jumping out from behind things to scare him,
swating at his tail and face, etc, etc, etc. Poor Bentley! Oh and he ONLY
comes in the house for a few minutes at a time when Rick is home
