What's Mia been up to the last week?
Dressing up in mom's shoes, purses,
and jewelry. We took Mia to swim lessons
at the Y and it was a disaster. I'm going to
look for just a home to take her to, because she
was overwhelmed and she loves my mom's pool.
Anyway she was screaming and crying so we walked
up front and I was telling the lady that she was just crying
and screaming and apparently Mia was listening, because she said,
"I'm sorry mom, I'm sorry, I will do it again next week after my nap."
The lady was laughing. Then she says, "Mom, I had fun swimming today
did you? " Are you kidding me, the day in the life of a two year old's split
personality!
Begging Rick and I for a backpack,
so we found one and well, she loves it!

Goofing around with the backpack on,
music in the background, and she told
me she needed a headband please,
and said, "I'm ready for school."
Little does she know that she will
be spending ALOT of time in my
classroom when she gets old enough.
fashion police alert!
hanging out- I swear I do her hair in the morning!
She naps HARD!

We've been a super busy family
doing lots of fun things. Here is Mia
in her new dress from Grandma B
headed to church.
I think I'm going to let her bangs
grow out or should I keep them?

Mia and mom at Elmo: Imagine 1,2,3
Notice red lips from snowcone. sorry dad, no pic of you

Mia watching and concentrating on her popcorn
Honestly I liked this better than Disney on Ice
and Mia did too. Much more interaction. It was a blast!!

playing at the park
Dad took Mia to redrock and did
a tortoise and tot excursion. They
got to look at tortoises, walk on a trail,
and do a craft. fun dad!

that Grandma B gave her for her bday.
spending time toilet training

We took Mia to the Logandale state fair a few
weeks back and she got to ride on these cool
rides all by herself! I was a little skeptical, but
look at this face! The guy next to us said, that is the
happiest kid I have ever seen, how adorable. I agree
with him. You go Mia!!Big girl!!
happy and having fun.
and we had to ride the carasel of course
3rd time around
we actually couldn't get her off, and just asked
the guy if we could leave her on.

Mia kept saying, "look at their butts mom!"
this is the face after a rooster yelled at her.
funny
doesn't she look 5 in this picture?
gabbing about being at the "farm" She just
kept running around saying, "I'm at a farm mom!"

Here is Mia on her FIRST ride ALONE, she was

in heaven. It was hilarious. I was the one freaking out.

Few more pics... before I forget
Mia has been saying some funny things lately
The other day, my spaghetti was boiling over and
I had her in my arms, so I was running into the kitchen and
yelled, Oh Crap and turned the stove down. So the next day,
I was making something else on the stove and Mia says,
mom I want to see, so I held her up on my hip and
she says, "Mom, can I help stir the crap?"
It was classic!!
She has also been speaking to me in Chinese from Niko Ki Lan
in the bath she says, "Mi How" I'm like , umm what does
that mean, so now I am looking up Chinese words? She was
already saying Hola to me. Can we just stick with English for now?
At church, a little girl came up and started messing with her stuff
and she pushed her, so I said, Mia you say sorry and she said,
"I'm sorry girl I didn't mean to push you." I said, ask her what her name
is, and she said it's girl mom. Then I told her to please calm down because
she was being loud and she said, "I don't want to calm down mom."
Isn't this 5 year old behavior? I'm in trouble. But she's also the
loviest little thing. She tells me I'm her very best friend and she
wants to give me the "biggest hug ever" and makes squeezing sounds
and that she loves to use her imagination.
She tells my mom when she is back from being out
of town , " grandma missed me" She is constantly saying
"Mom lets call dad" whenever she can't find something and she actually
calls him and says, "Dad I can't find my Foofa , I need it" and then listens to his advice
and argues and then ends the conversation. It is amazing to me.
I just can't get enough of her little spunky personality.

Mia Easter 2010

Mia's Easter Basket
my parents used to make trails from our rooms
to the baskets, so this is what I did, but someone
ruined my trail a million times.
can anyone guess who that would have been?
Mia eating the candy
I found this recipe :egg nests and thought it
would be cute for Easter breakfast. She loved it!
It was in the Parents mag.

Sunday morning at Grandma/Grandpa Bs
they were in San Diego but we still used
their rolling grass for our egg hunt. It was fun!
Saturday we went to the park down the street
to get eggs and see the Easter bunny. It was fun!

She was happy to see him :)
They had this cool little train. I don't know why
she keeps making this face??
then it got windy. We brought her wagon
which everyone thought was a great idea.

Grandma M asked, how did you get Mia to pose
for those family pictures? Here's your answer.
She's just a ham, I don't know what else to say.
really?

I know I'm in trouble.

These are Mia's 2 yr old pics and our
new family pic. I thought I better get
another one before we have two kids
and no we aren't pregnant, I'm just always
thinking ahead. Enjoy Brooke, these are for you!

Well here we are at Sea World-I'm terrible at putting
posts in the right order but here is the start to our family
Spring Break trip- Thanks Bre and Wally for letting us stay
with you and save $. We love you!
As you can seethe polar bear was her favorite of all and yes
we ended up taking one home and no he has
not replaced poor dirty falling apart bear!
She was a trooper. She made it from 9 am til
4pm and even had an hour nap in the stroller (unheard of
for her) She watched 3 shows including Shamu,
Sea lions, and the pet show. She was beyond good for a
2yr old! Maybe she is ready for Disneyland?
she was walking around telling the polar bears,
okay boys go to sleep and be good boys, I will
come and tuck you in little baby boys.
She just loved the polar bears- no sunburns but
her eyes did get a little red both from just being
tired and the sun.
she wasn't sure about this one, but she went with it.
Rick wasn't either! That's why I made him do
it, I would've puked. She loved this snake one
that went up and down and kept saying mom,
I'm laughing outloud mom, I'm having so much
fun. It was precious!
