Christmas

Had to start with the true meaning of Christmas, leave it to
the 2 year old to help us keep it all in perspective!
 Christmas Eve at my mom's
we were laughing at the fact that our picture
is always in front of my mom's tree and not ours!

 love this one!

Mia with baby Aleena, we LOVED having Kyse, Laith,
and Aleena

and our new PJS from grandma B

when we got home we set the camera up,
and tried to get one in front of our tree.

Christmas morning! It was so funny because our alarm
went off around 6:45 and we looked at the baby monitor and saw Kellan sound
asleep so we headed in the bathroom and started brushing our teeth
when we heard this yell, " SANTA WAS HERE!" Crap! we didn't even
get it on video haha
kids definitely made out! got a huge swingset, Mia
golf clubs and tons of shopkins/My little pony
Kellan got Blaze stuff and cars!
we noticed Spocks' stocking was a little empty this
year, pretty interesting since he's been very naughty
biting, stealing food, etc...

we only played for probably 30 minutes and Kellan yelled that
he wanted to go to grandma's -he just wants to be around his cousins
as much as he can!

my favorite pic: Rick and Aleena- he was in heaven
we  had a blast opening presents and eating breakfast at
Grandma and Grandpa B's . Grandpa was there too, I didn't get any pics of him!
back at our house with grandma and Grandpa M

 spoiled!

 Rick got me a jersey!

Grandma and Grandpa M spoiled the kids rotten!
busy day! Back at Grandma Bs with Laya and Marlee too!

these two were hooked at the hip

We even went to a fun parade downtown where there was real snow!

Monday we decided to go to the snow in Mt. Charleston!

there was a lot of it! Kellan went down by himself and
Mia did too after some contemplating :)

We loved our new sleds!! Funny story:
so kids were both DONE after an hour ( that's why sledding is so fun to do right)
Rick looks at me and says, " Want to pretend we don't have kids for 30 seconds?"
so we left the kids crying at the bottom of the hill by a tree and went up to the highest
spot, I jumped on his back and we sledded right past them both. haha
You should have seen their faces. Too funny.
When we were dating we would go night sledding late at night,
we are too old and tired for that now :)

Festive happenings

My mom was doing her hair last month and called
in a radio station and won box tickets to the Nutcracker at the
Smith Center so she decided to take Mia. She even got
a signed ballet slipper from one of the dancers.
She loved every minute of it and I guess she didn't even
move an inch- the guy next to them even commented that she must
be in dance because she is watching so intently and hasn't moved

We just had to go to Bass Pro and see Santa. Boy was
he cute and sooo nice. He spent so much time with the kids and
was just nodding and smiling away. Kellan keeps saying he
wants a skateboard .YIKES

I stood in line for about an hour while they
walked around with dad and got to play with stuff
Kellan is constantly wearing his backpack
everywhere he goes and wants to go to "school" sooo
bad. He thinks church is school and even if he walks Mia to school,
that counted for him going to school. It's pretty cute.
we have our elf again this year, "Jingle"
This is my favorite one so far, I was going to a Piyo class
and so he was doing Yoga with little water and a towel and everything.
Look at his legs!
Rick got this "Pie in the Face" game and Kellan had to try
it out. I thought he was pretty brave with the whipped cream.
both kids got to make gingerbread cookies too, I brought
Mia's class some and Kellan did some with Rick. He was
very proud and called it his " Grinchy Gingerbread boy"
