Mia's Dance recital

Dance Recital Smith's Center 2013 this is actually
the dress rehearsal

This is after actual recital performance...
So right in the middle of the performance, what happens?
Mia's tap shoe that she has complained is too small for her
flipped off of her foot. We couldn't believe it, we all went "Oh no" and I was
afraid to look ( She now inherits the Meyers luck according to Rick) To our
amazement, she stuck her foot back in her shoe without missing a beat and smiling the
whole time. I can not tell you how proud of her we were, first of all, Mia has always had us put her
tap shoes on , she has NEVER put them on herself and the fact that she did it in the middle of her performance was the most amazing thing...We said wow this little 5 year old when put to the test can be so independent. Even the guy who was hosting the show said , " Did you see that little girl on the left put that shoe on without missing a beat?" And yes it will be on our DVD forever and when I get the actual professional picture, I will post it but she actually said it was her favorite part because she figured it out by herself. Good job Mia!

Of course she wanted her sitter Kinzy to come and
we all gave her flowers at the end and she wanted
Kinzy to have one of them- too sweet.

Mia's preschool and Kellan is 5 months old!

Mia had her little preschool graduation celebration last week.
She was even picked to point to each letter of the alphabet as the
teacher and do each sounds to the kids- it was a little scary because she reminded
me ALOT of myself teaching  :)
Besides her babysitter, this is the most important person on the planet
to Mia - Miss Kelli words can't describe how much she loves her...
We got her a pedicure gift card and  a towel/flip flops and fun magazines
along with a card that said "We Toe-tally appreciated you this year!" It was fun..
Can't believe she will be a kindergartner next year
and be with me at school. She has waited for years for this and
is already telling me what she would like in her lunches..

Anyway they got to sing songs and decorate Seahorse cookies
since they were the Seahorses.. I have really enjoyed this school and Mia
has learned a ton. Kellan will most likely go there too...
They have awesome creatures like these adorable ducks they
watched hatch and they even have sharks pretty cool..

funny story: this is Mia's best friend ( AKA Rick's ex girlfriend's daughter)
yes not kidding and a pretty serious one I might add. Been very eventful this
year when we realized they were in the same class and then became best friends.
At the graduation, she says "Mom doesn't Makenna's mom always look so beautiful."
like a dagger in my chest just kidding I so don't care Mia thinks everyone is beautiful and
she missed out on Rick so I'm lucky she did... I just think it's such a small world and
it cracks me up. I told him I never thought I would talk about his ex girlfriend more in my
entire life. And they want to go eachother's houses,,, don't know about that one. haha

When a teacher tells you how amazing your child is how smart and how high
her vocabulary is ... it feels good and she seriously came out like that.
Her teacher says she's just a breath of fresh air. I love that...
 on to Kellan :)

 after church....

 can we stand the cuteness??

5 months : stats very chubby not sure but
about 16 lbs and eats like a man.. rolling over,
really wants to sit up, once he's rolled over, he can't figure out how to
go back and this is usually in the middle of the night which does not make his
parents happy. Still not sleeping through the night and Rick wants to do baby boot camp
the problem is that he doesn't just wake up for fun, he downs 8 oz every 4 hours and eats tons of food and
bottle during the day. He's an endless pit.

Mia is constantly asking, was I a better baby did I sleep better, cry less,
etc. I say yes you were. She wants credit haha..

I love this because you can see his concentration on rolling over

Now lets work on rolling back :)
sneak preview of Mia's dance performance coming up this
Saturday at the Smith's center...Dancing to Little Mermaid..

She did amazing ! Great job Mia!!!
