We headed up to my parent's house in

Buhl to visit Nicole and the kids who

drove up with my mom

my grandma Lil came for a few hours to

see all the kids, we wished we had more one on

one time with her especially Nicole since she

never gets to see her..

Place called Dearkes Lake: kids got to play in the

sand and there was a lot of jumping off rocks and fun

things to do

This picture is perfect because it shows the attitude we had

some of the time up at my mom's. LOOOONG summer

days will do that to kids! The sun comes up at 5:30 and doesn't

go down til 10:00 in Idaho

We went to a tractor pull, it was pretty fun

Rick came up Friday to spend the 4th with us

Mia and I actually flew up and Rick drove, she LOVES to

fly, I hope she stays that way :)

Rick and I took the kids on the canoe in the pond out front

I was surprised at how much she wanted to be on the pond

and in a canoe or kayak

We went to the lake to see if we could find some fish,

we ended up seeing some very cool frogs

She kept wanting to hold the worms and say they

were beautiful

of worms to throw into the river and she accidently dumped

them right into my lap- I was so mad, I had worms,

guts, and dirt all over me and I couldn't even move because

I was stuck in the kayak.

Mia decided she would rather go in dad's kayak once I freaked

out about the worms all over me, silly mom to not be happy about it. :)

Buhl had a big 4th of July parade, so fun with tractors

After the parade, the park does a celebration

the girls rode a little train and were grinning from ear to ear

Mia and dad- we put them in their pjs and headed to town

to watch fireworks, it didn't even get dark til 10:30!!!

Happy 5th Anniversary!!! Rick and I went to lunch today

before he had to go to work, and Grandma M watched her.

We were leaving and she said, " Mom, why aren't you wearing

your married clothes?" She thought I should have been in my wedding

dress. Soooo cute! Then she told Rick that I'm not old enough to get married,

that Rick is but I'm not yet.. .I will remind her of that when she's my age :)

Nicole and the kids got here from Missouri on Father's Day

and we have been playing in the water/swimming all day long!

The kids had a blast on the slip n slide, then we hooked a few

together and the adults even went down. Grandpa dressed

himself in a plastic garbage bag to really get some speed and

we video recorded everyone, it was pretty funny!

Yes it's Vegas and 110 degrees but there is ALWAYS

wind, so it's a little cold when you get out of the water

Can you tell these two missed eachother? They are really

enjoying the time together. Hailey has been coming over

to our house and playing in her room for hours, we don't

hear a peep from them :)

we went to Lake Mead on Friday and it was pretty windy

Bre and I tried to go on the tube but I ended up pretty beat

up and a missing toenal. Not fun!

Cousin Laith had fun though!

It wasn't about style at the lake, strictly protection

Bre and Laith- he's absolutely amazing in the water

he dunks himself, and just swims right along, he actually acts like

he would rather be under water than above.

We are thankful and grateful that Mia has an amazing dad,

and two very involved grandpas who take the time to play and love

unconditionally..

little some of the kids were that were doing it.

Summer is here! Mia is obsessed with her tool set lately

and LOVES using her flashlight to fix stuff

Rick and I went to Flagstaff for the weekend for our 5th Wedding Anniversary and Mia got

to stay one night with Grandma B and one night with Grandma M

This is called Slide Rock park near Sedona, way cool, people

just had their towels out, jumping off cliffs, etc

Coolest part was an 80 ft slide made out of rocks

that you could go down, kind of dangerous! Anyway,

Rick tried it. I will post a video

We tried this place for dinner that was a musical review

so the waitress and waiters actually sang while serving, it

was interesting. Something new I guess. Flagstaff is a very fun

little hippie town, it was my top choice for college but I'm thinking

my life would have gone a different route had I gone there!!

We have lots of fun plans for the summer, so more pics to come :)
