playing in the backyard: the few minutes it's not

This poor fish! We bought Mia a Beta fish to have
as a little pet and she named him goldfish which
I thought was cute. Anyway, this is what he deals
with- a huge siamese head trying to eat him all day.
Notice the wrap around paw? He is not letting him
out of his sight. We actually had to put him up
high because he almost had him completely knocked
over which wouldn't have ended very well.
He's such a naughty cat: he steals straws, paintbrushes,
knocks over everything in the middle of the night to wake you
up, meows LOUDLY throughout the night, so bad that he has to go
in the laundry room, bites, jumps up to counters and steals food, any food even cupcakes!
eats any fresh flowers I try to put out, eats Mia's toys and then throws
up, runs full blast across Rick's chest at 3 am ( his favorite)
and there's more, I just can't think of it. He's not my favorite cat right now.

Happy Mother's Day to all moms, mine especially

who is my best friend! This is my little best friend,

who is the best thing that ever happened to me

besides meeting her dad. Notice how tired I look and

how hyper and energized Mia is?? Why is this??

She takes every second of my day but I wouldn't trade that

time for anything in the world.

Here's Mia flying a kite yesterday, don't mind

the pizza face, and I always said my kid would never

have a dirty face :) she kept saying

hold on with both hands mom!

I found a Plex from Gabba Gabba kite

and it was a dollar, since when are kites a dollar?

so I got a few and she just

loves it, she got the hang of it right away.

Nursery and she wanted them all since Amanda

got them for her kids. Anyway they are super cool!

They have more animals then this, so you can

pick out your favs. She calls them her family and

babies and she kisses them constantly.

We took Mia to the Children's Discovery museum

a few weeks ago and even though it wasn't as big

as the one in Salt Lake, it was a lot of fun!

They had a whole Bob the Builder section that

they also had a Smiths where they could load up

shopping carts with food/water sections/ airport/

dress up stage, and a Bernstein Bears exhibit. We got

the year pass so we can go this summer too.

What's Mia been up to the last week?

Dressing up in mom's shoes, purses,

and jewelry. We took Mia to swim lessons

at the Y and it was a disaster. I'm going to

look for just a home to take her to, because she

was overwhelmed and she loves my mom's pool.

Anyway she was screaming and crying so we walked

up front and I was telling the lady that she was just crying

and screaming and apparently Mia was listening, because she said,

"I'm sorry mom, I'm sorry, I will do it again next week after my nap."

The lady was laughing. Then she says, "Mom, I had fun swimming today

did you? " Are you kidding me, the day in the life of a two year old's split

personality!

Begging Rick and I for a backpack,

so we found one and well, she loves it!

me she needed a headband please,
and said, "I'm ready for school."
Little does she know that she will
be spending ALOT of time in my
classroom when she gets old enough.

We took Mia to the Logandale state fair a few

weeks back and she got to ride on these cool

rides all by herself! I was a little skeptical, but

look at this face! The guy next to us said, that is the

happiest kid I have ever seen, how adorable. I agree

with him. You go Mia!!Big girl!!

Here is Mia on her FIRST ride ALONE, she was

in heaven. It was hilarious. I was the one freaking out.

Mia has been saying some funny things lately

The other day, my spaghetti was boiling over and

I had her in my arms, so I was running into the kitchen and

yelled, Oh Crap and turned the stove down. So the next day,

I was making something else on the stove and Mia says,

mom I want to see, so I held her up on my hip and

she says, "Mom, can I help stir the crap?"

It was classic!!

She has also been speaking to me in Chinese from Niko Ki Lan

in the bath she says, "Mi How" I'm like , umm what does

that mean, so now I am looking up Chinese words? She was

already saying Hola to me. Can we just stick with English for now?

At church, a little girl came up and started messing with her stuff

and she pushed her, so I said, Mia you say sorry and she said,

"I'm sorry girl I didn't mean to push you." I said, ask her what her name

is, and she said it's girl mom. Then I told her to please calm down because

she was being loud and she said, "I don't want to calm down mom."

Isn't this 5 year old behavior? I'm in trouble. But she's also the

loviest little thing. She tells me I'm her very best friend and she

wants to give me the "biggest hug ever" and makes squeezing sounds

and that she loves to use her imagination.

She tells my mom when she is back from being out

of town , " grandma missed me" She is constantly saying

"Mom lets call dad" whenever she can't find something and she actually

calls him and says, "Dad I can't find my Foofa , I need it" and then listens to his advice

and argues and then ends the conversation. It is amazing to me.

I just can't get enough of her little spunky personality.

Sunday morning at Grandma/Grandpa Bs

they were in San Diego but we still used

their rolling grass for our egg hunt. It was fun!

Saturday we went to the park down the street

to get eggs and see the Easter bunny. It was fun!

She was happy to see him :)

then it got windy. We brought her wagon

which everyone thought was a great idea.
