Disney Cruise Spring Break 2019

We flew into Miami, Florida at 11:30 PM and both my kids said
It's soooooooooo hot! haha and I was in heaven! This is Kellan's face on the
way to the ship the next morning, seriously so excited. I have to say this kid
is just the best traveler! We didn't go as many places when Mia was little so I have to
give her credit on that but this kid just goes with the flow, he loves planes, traveling, hotels,
seeing new things, and he has lists of where he wants to visit, it's pretty cute.
I got these shirts made before we left
and this is the picture right before we got on the ship
this is our room, my friend does a Disney cruise every year
and told me to do a bottom floor mid ship because it's a smaller one
out of the ships and for less nausea, well we didn't do a balcony
because of Kellan and it was double the price, yes double and I
got an amazing deal so we stuck with the plan- Mia was sick first few days
we had bracelets to help us, I wasn't nauseas I just had major anxiety
when I would lay down to go to sleep, felt like I was in a coffin,
I really had to get outside of head on this trip and I learned I'm more of a control
freak than I thought I was!

 walking across onto the ship
characters already waiting! The inside was beautiful
and seriously there were so many characters throughout the
week you got tired of seeing them I mean who says that!
If your kids are really into characters, this is the place, no lines hardly at all
and they come and play with you in the kids' club. Pretty awesome

Kellan checking out the kids' club- he
would have lived there if we let him.
Probably triple the size of the one in Hawaii
and just sooo much to do and field trips to
other spots on the ship and food galore and treats
our dungeon- just kidding kind of

the first night they had a welcome party with all the
characters and dancing , it was a blast

 more of kids' club
 slides

bye Miami!
 before dinner

so Kellan was probably 1/16 of an inch too short for this big
slide he was sooo upset about it, it had a drop bottom so I was
kind of relieved, like he says I always worry too much
on their cute bunk beds with their robes for the week!

ready to swim! They had a few pools, water
areas, slides, and then an adult section that was adult only

different themed restaurants every night, this was Rapunzel's
Kids loved dinner, we had same waiters all week an friends to sit by
which were two super smart scientists from Boston and their kids
I had fun asking them about today's hot topics vaccines etc

they put on a show at dinner, kids ate steak and whatever
they wanted all week for dinner and then breakfast was a buffet or sit down or
light stuff from a little pop up place, lunch was burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc
or the buffet. TOOOOO much food omg
so the cool thing is they had amazing performances
that have won awards every night, we saw a Rapunzel one
Cinderella, a juggling act and then any new movies out we got first
pick so Penguins and the new Marvel movie. Def filled the day with tons of activities
on the days at sea
you had to wear your key card around your neck like Disney aulani because it
got you in to everything- Mia also had a Tween club
where she could check herself in and out and meet us for dinner.
we had a tiny leak in the bathroom so after that we got
huge gifts every day- stuffed animals, treats, popcorn etc
it was crazy and then they also set your room up each night and leave
chocolates and decorations

 dolphins

one of the nights was Pirate night so the kids got to dress up as
pirates and it was pirate themed food and
a huge celebration at the main pool with fireworks
and characters, I guess Disney is the only cruise ship that
is allowed to do fireworks who knew?

it was sooo fun
we tried to get Kellan to do braids, he made it through and
then was crying so hard because it hurt so bad so we took them out..

and then he met Thor who told him to never let anyone cut
his hair , he was in awe so was I haha jk

 animator palate night!!

yay we are off the ship! I think I was more excited than
the kids- Cozumel for some shopping, walking around and then the kids
went to a Dolphin santuary where they could pet, kiss, and hug them ( alot had major scars from accidents)

 so beautiful!
Cozumel from the ship

and then our favorite was Castaway Cay- the private Disney island
We could have lived there. It was amazing, kids snorkeled and they have
pirate ships and thing for them to discover under the water, they had water slides in the water,
a jungle gym in the ocean, the water was amazing, fish everywhere.

I had to be dragged back on the ship haha definitely need to get off every
day.
This was our last night and then we woke up back in Miami! We had too much food,
fun, kids got to spend a lot of time alone together, Rick and I got in a few naps
on the chairs while kids were in clubs but it was a blast for the kids, definitely an amazing experience for them.
I asked the kids their favorites
Mia : Castaway Cay - going out so far in the water, zero waves, so clear, fish everywhere,
jungle gym in the ocean and the tween club- hanging out , doing crafts, using your imagination- favorite food Steak / mash potatoes
Kellan - Castaway Cay for the swimming, snorkeling, warm water, fish, jungle gym
and the kids' club for all the fun sports
favorite food: Mickey chocolate bar
we thought about just going right home but decided a year ago
to stay in Fort Lauderdale for a night , so glad we did ,there was a huge storm and
the ones who flew out after the cruise had their flights cancelled and it was so crazy
windy but look at our hotel! I told the kids they are spoiled this was the first beachfront room
I have been in! and it was huge , use to be a condo and the guy was awesome and gave us a great deal

lunch at the bay with some amazing yahts

but in the middle of the storm we couldn't do the beach so
we rented a car and headed to the Everglades! Wow it was so cool to learn about
and see the Alligatos and hear about how deadly those swamps really are!

and we rode in an air boat- too fun!!
this picture basically sums up the week
look at his eyes- sooo tired but still smiling
We are thankful we got to experience a Disney Cruise and the
kids were kissing on us and thanking us every second.
