Rick and I went to Boston right when I got out of
work- he was supposed to do a training in DC but plans changed so
we still went! We did a Red eye, took a nap at the hotel and headed to
a Red Sox game which was so fun! It's an awesome stadium and was
really neat to go- I did almost fall asleep because of our red eye flight!!
Rick was sporting Golden Knights stuff which I thought pretty brave on the East Coast,
but people was so genuinely supportive of Vegas, October 1st, making history, etc. It was awesome
they would yell VEGAS we are rooting for you guys across the street everywhere we went.
We then spent the next 3 days non- stop sight seeing
There is soo much to do , we stayed by the water,
I was freezing the whole time haha. They say if you don't like the weather
in New England wait a minute ... Because you are constantly
taking off and putting clothes back on the weather is constantly changing
We did Freedom Trail which took us around the whole city like
a Scavenger Hunt - Paul Revere, all the history, and of course got tasty treats
too and ate soo much seafood :)
I have family friends in Provincetown so we took a ferry and
they were waiting for us like our parents. I haven't seen them in 17 years!
It felt like yesterday. They adored Rick and we had so much fun
with Adam and Marian at Adam's art gallery in Provincetown
They took us all over the town and where the pilgrims sailed to when they got to
the United States, we saw the beautiful beaches, the flat sands, lighthouses,
had lunch, and had lobster for dinner before getting on the late ferry.
We loved every minute!
Provincetown is seriously the cutest, most beautiful little fun beach town.
We were told Martha's Vineyard is a must so we rented a car
from our hotel and had to send pics to Mia to get the reliability rating haha
Then we parked and took another ferry to Martha's vineyard and my pictures
do ZERO justice. This place was like a storybook, perfect, white, ritzy,
most beautiful beaches, we ate, and walked and took buses and explored all day
our trip was so fun, Rick even got to spend time with
a Marine friend while I shopped, we ate , walked a ton, and saw
some amazing history which I teach about but it's nothing like seeing in person.
The people in Boston and the beach towns were sooo nice and love their country and
are very proud of their history. It was nice to see the patriotism.
this is our tired faces after I think the 5th ferry ride? haha
I don't know how people handle the traffic there and weather but
it sure was beautiful!
and while we were gone , Brooke and Chris had the kids and they loved
every second! They had a blast and didn't want to come home.
They did workouts, had parties, swam, ate, snowcones, parks and more
Thanks Brooke and Chris!!!! My kids were in heaven
and thanks to my mom and dad for picking them up in St. George
so Mia could make her golf tournament where my dad made sure she
didn't get sunburned in the heat and took care of her and she even made a birdie!!
Look at this cute serious little face!!!!
