Rick and I in New York City

Since they changed our contract this year, we get
the whole week off for Thanksgiving and I get tortured early mornings
on Tuesdays, but Rick and I found a killer deal to New York and we've never been
so we decided to take the red eye Friday night after I worked all day and came home late
Tuesday night. We are too old for red eye flights, I felt super puky when I got off the plane and
Rick said welcome to graveyard, that's what he felt for years and years. Anyway we couldn't get
over the amount of police cars there, it was insane and since Trump was Elected for president, the
city is crazy with police and tons of barriers in front of the Trump towers.
We actually stayed at the Westin in Mid Town Manhattan and it was a perfect spot. We were
right across the street from the Grand Central Station and took tons of pics of it
because Mia had just finished a novel about it and wanted to show her class.
Time Square I can't even tell you how cold it was
I mean insane... 50mph wind ughhhhhh
I survived but I think cold is my hell .

we ate desserts every single day and even more than once
a day.... cookies, cupcakes, you name it, we ate it. YUM
We took the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and
it was sooo cold.
The first day was in the 50's so we went to Central Park and
rode bikes around the whole thing which was 7 miles and walked 10 and this
was the day we were on the red eye so we were trucking away..

 Stock Market
 More treats
Brooklyn Bridge: we walked across it and then ate at
the original Gremaldi's. It was super fun and cold. haha
 Riding bikes

 Trump towers
 collectiing leaves in Central Park

 view from hotel
 famous Macy's

we realized how our selfies are just not cute haha
we absolutely loved riding the Subway we took it everywhere
it was awesome!
our favorite thing was the 9/11 memorial and
the Twin Towers memorial. We were able to find
Rick's mentor's brother and read about how he helped rescue the kids
from the daycare, called his brother to tell him he was safe, and then the second plane hit and
he died. I couldn't be next to Rick in the memorial, it was just too emotional. They did
an amazing job of making it personal for the 2,000 plus who lost their lives.
We had a great time, walked over 30 miles at least, froze to death, I told Rick he didn't even need to
feed me food just desserts, saw some cool sites, and definitely want to bring the kids with us next time.
