April happenings

my dad was able to give Rick the priesthood a few weeks before he
baptized Mia so that was pretty awesome.

the kids beg every day to ride their scooters to
grandmas so have gone twice now and the first time,
it was Earth Day so we picked up trash all the way up.
They were so cute on their scooters and Kellan is a really good listener
when it comes to being on the road, with no sidewalks, he stays really close to
his sister and watches her for directions. It's really cute.
Kellan has been doing indoor soccer and just
loves it. His coach can't believe he's only 3 and how good he is
with the ball. Rick said he's always diving to the ground so he thinks he
might be a good goalie one day.

Nicole and the kids were driving through Vegas after Spring Break and
this is the ONLY pic I got, but so glad I got it. Mia just loves her cousin sooo much.
It really is adorable.

Me with the kids :) and yes still in a coat,
 this weather is
ridic...
we went up to Redrock one Sunday and the kids had a blast
at the new visitor center and we even did a hike.

 Vegas waterfall hahaha

running through the water
Mia had her first "official" golf tournament and it was tough
There was a huge rule book and we weren't too familiar with it all,
so she didn't do as well as she would have liked- I guess she got stuck in the sand trap
so that was an automatic -40 etc. All the other girls have been going to every tournament forever
and all know eachother, go to private schools, pay $150 an hour for a lesson, and mostly Asian
which I had no idea they train girls for golf very young,
so Mia has a gift but she will have to work really hard and we aren't rich
so Rick will be working overtime to pay for it all, but she says it's her niche and
she grins ear to ear even talking about it, so we are supporting it all the way and
we will see if it goes anywhere.
I was very proud of her for not knowing anyone and dealing with all the
pressure. Plus I think golf clothes just fit her perfectly!!

 medal time
Coach Joey who I'm pretty sure is Mia's first crush
but she works really hard for him and he's awesome and
just adores her and has such high hopes!

Mia's baptism

This pretty girl got baptized on April 9th by her
dad and confirmed by her grandpa Scott Blaser
Brooke, Chris, and the girls were able to come down, both sets of grandparents, and Mia's first grade teacher with her baby,
and we had a great day!
We were able to get some professional shots of Mia the week of and she was just beaming!

her grandpa Wayne's scriptures :)

she was so funny with these ones, I had her put her
headband down on her forehead and she told me I was
ruining her look haha. Our photographer thought that was cute.

my serious girl

she shared her day with Cooper who is super adorable and happens
to be in a family who Rick played soccer with when he was little so they had some funny
stories about him and we thought it was pretty cool that we knew their family.

ready to go :)

pretty cool that Rick got to baptize her
one year after he was baptized.

grandma and grandpa B- grandpa did a great talk on the Holy Ghost

Marlee wanted to get in there too!

grandma B did a luncheon at her house and Mia
was really excited about it...

we even blessed the baby Remi and Mia said I guess she can have the spotlight for a few minutes on my day. haha so funny.

Rick was able to be in the blessing- his first one :)

Mia even got some presents like new scriptures, marking pens, jewelry,
scripture purses, etc. She said it felt like her bday.
