Spring Break 2017

We went to Newport Beach for Spring Break

My friend Kelly invited us on a sail boat

with her kids. Her husband has his license.

We left from the Balboa peninsula, it was super fun

until we went out into the ocean and then he turned off the

engine. Kelly and I were making sandwiches below and we both 

came up green. Mia was already about to puke, Rick was telling us to

just eat and you will be fine so he ate lunch and then was immediately sick himself!

We were so glad when we got back to the harbor and felt better.

this kid smiled the entire time, even Kelly could

not get over how happy and full of life he is,

I said I know he's just loves to be social and be with people

It really is adorable

held hands the entire time and talked about when they would 

see eachother again.

we went to a fun street festival in Huntington and

Kellan was dancing in the street, it was super cute

people were videoing him and he told Rick and I he was

going to be famous when he grows up. haha

we told them this is our last time doing this

I was running and met them down there

Mia spotted this guy and she was able to be the first to 

get help. We ended up waiting for them to come, Rick helped 

transport him and we went and saw him later that day at the Laguna

Rescue center. He was even named "Beachcomer" We get to watch 

his progress online and maybe in June can see him get released back

Mia loves this stuff especially since she wants to be a vet so we were 

so glad she got to be a part of his rescue. He was a baby and dehydrated with

some lasserations. 

while we waited for the seal to get to the Rescue Center,

we went to an Angels baseball game

we made it to the 5th inning, I thought that

was pretty good

at the Rescue center 

our guy was still getting IVs so we got to see all the other ones

they had over 32 there. They also said they've seen almost 300 come 

ashore this year.

Kellan met his own friends. He's so funny

we had a great Spring Break- swimming, beaching it,

and eating of course. I also let a 4 year old's tantrum

take over one day and left my fancy Nikon camera on the beach along

with my smaller digital one. It was a sad day. I'm still trying to recover from

it. Tons of pics of even just this trip were on there. 

when we got home, we had to get ready for Easter

and primary class and school..

and got to go to grandma B's for dinner and see cousins!!

Monster Jam

 Kellan's second year at Monster Jam and

as you can see, he loved every second of it.

I hardly watched because I just wanted to watch Kellan's

face the entire time. Mia was so excited too and loved it.

She was mad we didn't stay until the end and wants to 

take separate cars next year. Kellan made us come so early 

because he thought we would miss something so hopefully next year 

he can make it until the end! He was so cute he even got a free truck.

 So dad and him got to go all day Friday while 

Mia and I were in school and see the trucks 

 his absolute favorite 

 then we took Mia early Saturday to see them too

 this is his second mohawk, they can out of

green so he went with purple for the night of the show

 first mohawk on Friday :) 

we also had the best seats this year! They were perfect!

 It was also traumatic this week with Oak

In the few minutes he was let outside in the 

front he managed to dig into a rabbit burrow

and steal a baby who he set on the couch and 

we didn't find until 3 hours later when we came home

and Kellan sat on the couch and started screaming 

and crying that something was sitting next to him!

It was so crazy. The last thing I thought I was going to

see was a newborn on my couch and for a split second

I wondered is Spock or Oak were females. 

We think now from researching that Oak probably smelled

a dead bunny but who knows there were a bunch in the bush all snuggled up

and I just felt terrible. We all cried and cried and then Mia made a memorial 

for the mom. 

 also everyone was really mad at Oak too

 we celebrated my 38th bday last Wednesday

I taught all day and my class was terrible 

and they just kept telling eachother to stop 

because it's my bday and we need to be nice.

So annoying. Anyway Rick worked so I went to my

moms for a fruit bouquet cake and dinner and then 

I had all day Friday off to myself which was amazing and Rick and

I went on a date on Saturday. :)

He's such a love bug 

We are fully into soccer and Kellan loves when 

grandparents come watch. We are also starting to

realize there's a ball involved so that's good!! 

He's actually come really far in just 3 games :)
