Trip to Idaho

We got to go to Buhl, Idaho at my parents' house
for the 4th of July week/weekend. First stop- canoeing
on the pond
Mia is REALLY into fishing, in fact she told me that I need to
relax and that fishing takes patience ( yes I am a little impatient)
We ended up searching for frogs for hours. They are everywhere
up there! We found this guy who was huge and so chill..
He let us pick him up on our paddle but we were afraid that he was
going to jump into our canoe!
Fishing on the pond behind my parents' house

We caught a bunch of little guys

4th of July parade in Buhl Idaho
Of course we have to get homemade icecream
 Sassy one
 They even had llamas!
Mia loved this van because it looked like Filmore on Cars
And of course the screaming started when she saw
Mater from Disney Cars. So cool!
 Mia with Mater
Off to the park afterward for some fun and a cute
little train ride
Then we went to the Snake river and fished some more
 caught some Utah Chubs
Mia had to hold each one before throwing them back home
Off to Shoshone falls in Twin

Dierkes Lake - Mia loved digging in the sand and dipping in the cold water

 Mia and dad

We had a great time in Idaho. We brought Bentley and he
loved being up there. Mia was cracking us up the whole time.
She even told Rick ya ya dad you just keep telling us about when you were
a kid. Too funny! All the cousins will be at Grandma B's when we get home,
so off to the next adventure :)

Coldplay Concert/Dallas, Texas

Rick surprised me by taking me to Coldplay in Dallas, Texas.
It was an amazing concert. This band is beyond talented. I've been
wanting to see them for a very long time!!
In Dallas, we went to the Dallas Stadium. 3 million square feet.
We took a tour of it.

 Dallas Cowgirls dressing room

Downtown Dallas, people here are VERY nice..
JFK building where he was shot. We went to the museum
and it was really interesting.

6th floor where he got JFK was shot. Crazy!
 In front of the building

The reason we came to Dallas, Coldplay concert. It was
amazing. I've been wanting to see them for a long time.
They gave us bracelets that lit up which was really cool.
It was a great trip!

Random pics: Mia's last day of preschool : Hawaiian Day
I had a great class this year minus one that got expelled
for hitting me with a dictionary (long story) anyway, the boys would all
wear different eyeball shirts on the same day throughout the year to mess
with me. So the last day of school, I got my own eyeball shirt and wore it.
They loved it of course. I also just got our state test scores and they did AMAZING!
I feel like a proud mom!

Mia's first dance recital

Mia before her dress rehearsal:I had to do her hair
at 8 am before work and pray that it still looked good by
11:30, then I barely got checked out on my last day and got to go
to the rehearsal. Next year, she's taking classes at night so I don't
miss out. Rick has done an amazing job taking her these last 2 years though!
 little bit of attitude :)
Definitely has her dad's eyes, you can see right through them
This was the rehearsal, we were only allowed to tape
during the rehearsal and had to buy the professional one
for the actual recital. It was at the new Smith's center
and was breathtaking. I was soooo proud of her for going
on the stage!

Her class did the classic Doctor Doctor
 love this part!

they had to look surprised with their mouths open, too cute!
 Smith's Center!!

The night of recital! All morning the day of she was practicing
in the office watching her video of the rehearsal perfecting herself.
She also was eating a ton and said she needed to keep her energy up!
Everyone brought her flowers, so she was extra excited about that!
Here's my dancer! I actually went to Bunker Dance when
I was little. The recital was amazing. Some of the senior girls
were unbelievable. There have been several on So You Think You
Can Dance and have won numerous awards. Mia's teacher, Miss
Diane actually worked for Disney for 25 years dancing!
Of course it wouldn't have been the same without her
babysitter Kirstin who has watched her all year, she admires
her beyond words. She's going to be a chemical engineer and is
going to BYU!
 We were so proud!
 Grandma and Grandpa B
Grandma and Grandpa M: both grandmas had to come home
from out of town for this, so we are grateful and Mia has been looking forward to all of
her grandparents there! It was a great day!
