few new happenings: Mia started Sunbeams last week:
long story short is that she HATED nursery, she's twice as big
as everyone, talks a hundred times better, everyone is sick, and she
told me it was a dangerous place... so the bishop let her go to Sunbeams.
And she loved it! Her teachers told me she was the most reverant one and
was definitely ready to be there. Except I think she had a lesson on forgiveness
because she told me she didn't forgive me last night when she was mad at me and
said she learned it in Sunbeams. Ha ha !! Here are some pics of her ready to go :)

I walked across my floor to find this and thought it was
very intuitive and creative: she told me these are all the carnivores
gathered around the meat ( her turkey from her kitchen)
And yes she says the words carnivore and herbavore,
ask her aunts!

The herbavores are gathered around greens

and the rest of the herbivores are trying to get to their
food ( veggies and fruit)
She is so amazed by dinosaurs, every day it's , mom
did you know an allosaurus is as long as a bus or a
trex can eat humans? It's so fun!

Spock turned 2 in July, so we had a party: Mia was in
charge and she made the invites and decorated. Aunt
Brooke and Grandma B came too.

He even got his own icecream cake and liked it- the teenage
boys at Coldstone thought it was hilarious that they had to
write Happy Birthday Spock on a cake, it made their day!
Mia was very specific to them and told the boys what Spock's
bday party was going to have, it was pretty cute!

He even got a few new toys

The things we do for kids :)

Off to Cali AGAIN :) We have to cram all of our vacations
in 2 1/2 months because once school starts, I am stressed
and crazy and responsible for 25 kids so I can't leave

We were able to stay with Aunt Bre, Wally and Laith
probably for the last time since they are expecting another
little boy in January!

Mia LOVED the beach, especially rolling around in the sand

At one point she was flicking sand at me, when I told
her to stop she said, "Mom it's nothing personal."
Excuse me??  I about died !

Off to the San Diego Zoo. We took Mia on the bus to
look at everything, she was holding my hand and said,
"Mom I just love this place!"

waiting to board the bus- of course Mr. Bear is in tow

On the bus

We got to see some very cool animals

Just like with Disneyland, Mia was obsessed with maps,
she had to hold it the whole time and would point to where
she wanted to go next.

everyone knows that Mia is in love with every animal on
the planet, she has so much empathy for them and truly
feels for them- she also has some interesting favorites,
one of which is a hippo, a rhino, and an alligator.

look at my big girl!

she loved poking her head up with the seals

we did a ride through the aerial tram above the zoo

stinky

you can't see this but the baby gorilla had his thumb in his
mouth- adorable! I wanted to either be a teacher or a vet,
I chose teacher but one day I will definitely be working with
animals later in life, it's a dream of mine :)

A few animals to add to her collection ( ahhhhhhhh)
she doesn't play with any of her toys except her stuffed animals
and dinosaurs, so I'm stuck with all these stuffed animals taking over my house

waiting for an animal show to begin

petting zoo

the zoo was definitely a must ( we don't have one in Vegas worth
going to) she LOVED it and it was nice to just walk around and enjoy

Off to Legoland- We have had tickets to Legoland
for almost a year, we were going to use them for a weekend but
my sis got sick so we didn't come. Mia has been talking about
it since, so we decided to make it this time! Look at her face getting
ready for the first ride..

the nice thing is once they are over 36 inches, they can ride just
about anything!

I think this was Mia's favorite ride- Rick got her pumped up
and they pretended it was Nascar, Look at her face!! She said
she was putting a mean face on to intimidate the other drivers. It was
hilarious!

police helicopter with dad- there really are tons of rides
for little ones.

she even got to ride a horse by herself

Her favorite of course was the Dinosaur land

they have a new aquarium that was included in our ticket,
she LOVES sharks, even mean ones :)

the lady kept saying , wow she isn't afraid to touch anything,
no way!!

looking at fish

they had holes where you could stick your head in and see the
sharks.

It was a very busy trip, but we had a great time at the beach with
my nephew Laith, going to San Diego Zoo and Legoland, it was short
but sweet end to our fun summer break. Now we get to relax for a week before
I head back to work and Mia gets to start preschool. :)
