It's Mia's birthday today! She is 2 years old.
Two years ago today I had Mia at 10:06 pm
Rick and I went to the Deli Den for breakfast
where my water broke and we headed to the
hospital. I wasn't very happy about it, because
my doc was out of town since it was Easter weekend
but she came out 12 hrs later after being induced and
waiting til I was almost a 9 for my epideral ( long story
of a missing anesthesiologist) She was 7 lbs and 13 oz
and was 19 inches long. She is the best thing that
has ever happened to Rick and I. Last night she
hugged me so tight in the tub and said, Mom,
you are my best friend. She's mine too.
Anyone who knows Mia can tell you that she is
obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba so I knew I had to
make her birthday theme a gabba one. I made
Brobee and Foofa for her. It was a blast. My mom
used to make us all fancy cakes when we were little
clowns, flowers, bunnies, and so I wanted to continue
with the tradition. Next year, she gets to do the
spanking machine on her birthday (another tradition)
So after my sister Bre's party, we had everyone come over
to celebrate with us for Mia (just family til she's 4 or 5 )
I printed out Gabba invitations and she was handing them
out to everyone as they arrived which was hysterical.
Then we danced to Gabba music, blew out candles, opened
presents, and had pizza and salad. It was a perfect party!!
I can't believe she's 2!!

stuff from Scott n Hailey. Fun stuff from
grandparents too. She definitely made out!
She was actually getting into the present thing
even more so than Christmas, but when she
would open clothes, she would say, No I don't want
it. Such a kid!

licking her fingers
yum mom!
this is good!

No Gabba Gabba birthday party
can be complete without a dance
showdown!
Can't be complete without her
Gabba shirt and she was yelling,
Go Mia , Go go Go Mia.
Then we all stood in a circle and
just watched her dance, it was the
best.
Mia has been a dancer since she
was a baby so she was in heaven
and of course it was Gabba Music
is Awesome cd in the background!
Phew I'm tired now!

Bre's shower was Saturday afternoon. It was
a lot of fun. Doesn't she look cute? Brooke came
down too. Nicole just had her baby a few weeks
back so she stayed home . It was a fun weekend!

While I was getting ready for Mia's bday and
Bre's shower, Rick took her to Touch a Truck
She had a blast.
She got to go inside all the trucks, drive them
and everything.
notice her birthday girl shirt :)
Nascar fun. She's so cute!
Grandpa M went too. She had a blast!

this is last St. Patrick's day, same
dress. Isn't that depressing?
look how big she has gotten?

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Mia got this dress from grandma M
last year.
so she wore it to church on Sunday
I almost didn't get her to church. She
kept saying, I don't want to go to church
mom, I want to stay home in my jammies.
Do you blame her?

Mia begged me to get her ladybugs
because Amanda (sitter) and her kids
Lilly and Nicholas got them, so we did. Look
at her face!!
I love when little kids bend down, so
cute!
You either get 300 or none, but she had fun
except she kept running around the house with them
swinging the box this way and that and I thought Rick
was going to have a heart attack. It was funny. Could
you imagine all those in thick carpet? I just laughed.
