Christmas 2016

 we went to my mom's for Xmas eve to eat 

yummy food, the kids opened their presents and got

new pjs

 grandma and grandpa B

Rick's friend Tyler from the Marines came and

ate too since he didn't have any plans, he even got new 

pjs which was a hard task for a 6ft 7 375 retired football guy!

We actually got a picture in front of our tree

 Rick and I snuck out to see what Santa brought.
Mia got some golf goodies to practice with and Shopkins and

 Kellan got Hot Wheels track, transformer stuff, a new Spider man bike that he

set outside by the front gate and said it's too big and he will ride it when 

he's 4 ( which is in 2 days )

 I love how the tree looks after Santa comes

so she was screaming when she saw that he did!

 Mia was very appreciative of everything she got but did not 

want her brother touching any of it... She got some fun Goldilock

engineering things that she built in 5 minutes!!

 It was a fun Christmas but a little too quiet..

kids were sad they didn't have any cousins, I was too

but I was just grateful Rick was home and these two

have been playing really good together and Kellan is non stop so

Mia has been very patient esp when he wakes up every morning at 7 am on the dot

yelling down the hall.. Who is going to play with me?

 We finished up Christmas day watching Home Alone 

for the first time in our new pjs and sleeping bags

and then Kellan surprised us all by showing us that 

he knows how to draw himself.. even though he's been refusing to 

pick up a pencil.. who knew ?? We were all jumping in excitement!!

Before Christmas Odds and Ends

 Just some fun pics of Kellan and Oak, he pretty much

goes with us everywhere 

 even on an In N Out run 

 and he doesn't leave his side when he doesn't feel good 

 and he goes to the Xmas parade in Boulder city 

 this is from Thanksgiving weekend with the cousins I forgot to post it

 so fun at the Downtown Summerlin parade 

 It's crazy that Mia is in the same grade that I teach!

Here she is getting a reading award! She's definitely a smarty pants!

 Rick took Mia to her first concert a Carrie Underwood one,

she had a blast an was singing her songs non-stop for a week.

 Of course we did our Opportunity Village 

Magical forest night and Kellan loved the firetruck

 everyone's favorite the train

then we went to the Glittering lights with 

Grandma B- this is the only pic I took

 Then Mt. Charleston got a ton of snow so we headed up

with our sleds and Rick dropped the kids and I off and 

parked so we got a closed street to ourselves and it was 

so fun! Oak was freezing but he wouldn't wear a coat and 

he loved it. He was trying to catch snow with his tongue and 

run beside us while we went down the hills. Kellan loved it too

and wanted to go by himself as much as he could 

 then both were pooped on the way home,

including Kellan in a yoga meditation pose :)
