Monterey Trip

 We decided to take the kids to Monterey, CA this summer after

Mia was super jealous that Rick and I went without her for a weekend 

summer and told her how amazing and beautiful it is. This is Lover's Point

Beach in Pacific Grove which is where we stayed. It was perfect, just 1 mile

from the bustling Cannery Row and the mile was a beautiful trail that we walked a million times on.

It was definitely chilly, the first day was the warmest at 70 but the rest was around 64. I could have

gone a little warmer but that's why this place is so quiet and beautiful.

 The cool thing about this beach is that it's a reef so it's very shallow and zero waves

just freezing.

 the other great thing is that there is a grill at the beach and our condo

was right across the street plus the beach had a community pool that was heated to 90 degrees

so that was pretty awesome and fun for the kids.

Mia got to go to Pebble Beach Golf Course and send her golf coach a picture 

so that was fun and we walked around Carmel and had a treat.

 we even got to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Mia brought her notepad to take notes.

 so while we were in Carmel, Rick spotted this guy

John Madden famous football legend so the kids took a pic with him

 honestly their favorite thing to do was ride this bike thing

Kellan was giggling the whole time and just kept telling us to go faster

 on the beautiful trail to Cannery Row

 we even got Mia to take some pics of us

 walking around Pacific Grove at a Farmer's Market

 and seeing some kittens

Kids got to play at the world famous Dennis the Menace park so that was fun

 part of our condo, it was 2 story with the 

bedrooms downstairs so that was nice

It was a great trip! It was nice to have some 

cooler weather and go somewhere as a family that we haven't been to

The drive actually wasn't too bad. We tried to get Mia to drive another 2 hours to

San Fran but she wanted to stay put. She loved it there :)
