Daddy/Daughter dance and the Zoo!

Mia sure has been missing this guy right here lately...
Mia sure does love her cousin Scott and misses him so much when
she doesn't get to see him.
this cute little bug is 13 mo old and never sits still
He LOVES getting into things: he's saying so many cute
words right now and he already has major testosterone. The other day he
was trying to pick up something and saying, urrrrg huffing and puffing, then
he got it over his head and then threw it and walked away with his chest puffed out.
Soooo funny!

and we are getting more teeth!
he LOVES playing peek a boo with Mia
and he will say, Mia are u??? Rick said
he's also doing it to him when he's trying to
go to the bathroom and saying, dad are you?
Trying to find him.

Mia had a daddy/daughter Valentine dance at her dance studio
so she was really excited. I told her she could wear the one Grandma B got
her for Xmas but she said, mom I just want to go look at the store ( doesn't that
sound like a girl) anyway she got this cute dress on clearance ( she's like her mom)
and wanted me to do her hair like Cinderella, so that's what we did. I guess that dads
even had a dance off and Rick had to go dance out in the middle by himself. Funny.
While we were in the store looking for dresses, Mia spots a little girl bra for the first time
and reacted like it was a kitten "Oh mom look how cute that is! It's just like yours but my size!"
It was so funny and I said yup you won't be needing that for a loooong time. ( Especially if she takes
after my side, Rick's side is another story ) She was so cute though telling Rick how nice he looked and kissing him :)
Kellan eating icecream. Now that he can eat anything and everything,
he takes full advantage..

There's a zoo in Logandale called Roosmore and it did a fundraiser
downtown at Zappos because they are trying to shut them down for not having the proper bathroom
facilities I guess, so we took the kids and Mia kept saying, "Mom I'm in the city right now, it's so beautiful!"
It was funny. Anyway, we got to see some cool animals, have lunch in one of the little shops and we even saw one of Rick's friends so we took a picture with him.

pretty cool that these were in downtown Las Vegas

Mia got to pose with an armadillo and a huge bird

It's February!

I found these pictures on my little camera! oops! I knew we
did more things for the holidays. This is us at Opportunity village
riding the train..

 first time
we got our picture taken at Bass Pro!
then went and looked at all the fish

right before Christmas, Mia got her little bear from her kinder class
that we had to bring with us everywhere we went, so she had fun watching movies one night
with Mr. Bear of course
and then we went to a Christmas breakfast and brought her there too.

 and saw Santa!
On to the latest, we went to the bird santuary when it was nice outside
and Kellan LOVED the birds. Grandma M taught him how to say bird when he was 11 months old so
he's pretty good at it. The cutest thing was this bird kept saying, "Hi baby" to Kellan it was adorable.
Mia LOVES birds, she was especially excited about the tuacan
the one who kept saying Hi baby

Grandpa B's bday was super fun! Mia wanted everything hearts so
we got heart balloons and made heart shaped sugar cookies. Then she
made a bunch of cards.
 opening gifts
and this is where this kid sat THE ENTIRE time, right when
he came in the door, it was pampa pampa waving constantly pampa
 then he climbed up...
and didn't move, he kept on smooshing his face on his chest and it was adorable

happy boy, loves his grandpa.
we have just been super busy with school and work, Rick has changed
schedules a few times and I think he's staying on graves for awhile, not the best but
not the worst so we will deal with it. Mia says he never sees me in the daytime mom and that's kind
of the truth until summer. Onto February!
