Preschool and Exciting News!

Mia's first day of preschool: Miss Kelli is her teacher and
Mia was very excited to go this year. She is going 3 days instead of 2 and
so far, she is coming home and giving herself hours of "pretend" homework
working on letters and numbers. It's pretty cute!
 I can't get a picture in without a certain cat's tail!

 She's a seahorse this year
Mia's class: I can't believe will be in Kindergarten
next year and come to school with me. Crazy! She's been saying the most
interesting things lately. Right before we were headed to church on Sunday, she told
Rick that heavenly father would be really sad if he knew that he was drinking coffee on a Sunday
(she saw his coffee cup in the bathroom) Rick was like oh this is from yesterday, I was just cleaning it out. It was so sad. Little did she know that dad just got home a few hours earlier and we were lucky he got up and went to church with such few hours of sleep :)
And we finally got pregnant. I will be 18 weeks this Friday and I took
this on Tuesday. We have been trying for almost 3 years. We kept it secret from Mia for the most part all the pain we were going through and trying the fertility avenue, but last March and April, she just started praying every single night for a baby brother/sister out of the blue and saying she's the only kid on the planet without one. It was really hard to hear that from your child. Well after two months of praying, we got pregnant. Of course we didn't tell her right away, we waited for 12 weeks, but the second I found out, she stopped with the prayers on her own and it just seemed like she knew already. It was crazy. We also got tons of prayers and our names in the temple for years, so thank you for that. Mia has been a little mom since she found out, telling me to drink water or I will be dehydrated. Asking why I'm burping so much... She's too cute and soo excited. The day we found out what we were having, we brought Mia. Apparently she wanted a sister, because when the tech told us it was a boy, she started bawling. It was sad. Then she came home and had this conversation with the cat: "Well Spock it's a boy, yup oh great, that's what I thought, so be prepared that when the baby gets here, he's going to pull your tail and throw you into the air." Sooo funny, she's just so used to preschool boys, she thinks they are all naughty! I'm worried too, I like my quiet, peaceful house of girls but according to my mom, Miss Mia would never let a boy be wild in our house, she runs the show and would keep him in line. Anyway, we are due Feb.1st and I will keep you updated! I did have a name that I'm just not ready to give up so we will see what we decide, but name suggestions are welcomed :)

Random end of the summer pics :)

Mia is missing this little guy. She is having a hard time
not seeing her cousin! Yes they are in matching towels lol :)
Mia got to go to a really fun birthday party
where she got a manicure, got to dress up, hair
done, the whole thing and she loved it!
Here she is getting her fingers done
 And her hair...
Cute table all set up for the tea party
 all dressed up
 oops forgot about the makeup
of course the only one who picks the
bright red lipstick. Hmm where did she get that from??
 all finished
then they got to walk down the runway
 all the girls together :)

 she had a blast
We took Mia to an indoor soccer place to see if she would
want to do it. Well we thought she would be super shy.
Not so much, being the only girl, she started right in bossing the
boys around. It was so funny. She was seriously herding
them onto the field and keeping them on track. We were cracking up
At one point when they had teams, she yelled out Nanananana! We're going
to beat you!! Rick and I about died. It was so funny. She is definitely wanting to come
back so she starts in the Fall.
Grandpa B and Grandma B took us out on
the boat last Friday. We've had such a busy summer
that this was our first time. Mia loved it once she
got used to how fast the boat goes.
 cute little stinker!

Grandpa B and Mia picking out shells to take home

Me,, Mia, and Grandma. It was too windy for any wakeboarding,
so we just floated in the water and there were some HUGE waves. Here's to
the end of the summer. Pretty sad but it was a fun filled one. Mia starts preschool
again 3 days a week on Wednesday and I start work on Wednesday too. Mia's new teacher is Ms.Kelli
and she looks like she could be on Little House on the Prairie so I think she will be a very sweet teacher for Mia. I had to fill out a paper that asked Mia: This year I hope my teacher_____________. She answered with I hope my teacher makes the other kids behave. Yes that sums up Mia. Always mother hen and trying to be teacher's pet. :)

Legoland/Zoo/Beach

We decided to take one last trip to San Diego before I started
work again. Of course Mia didn't mind seeing the beach again.

This is how goofy she was acting the first night we
were there...
 really??

Off to Legoland! Mia was probably the only kid who knew
how to drive the car and she took it very seriously!
look close and you will see her game face!
 With dad on the helicopter...
 fun boat ride
 of course the horse
And then she decided she was going to ride all the roller
coasters to our shock. She went on a little one at the Orange
County Fair with her cousin Scott and I think it jump started her adventure side!
She's 42 inches now so she could do them all... kind of scary!
 Airplane ride
 lots of waiting in lines
and then the big one! I think she thought what did I get myself
into on this one...
look at this one close up, totally crying but then laughing at the end!
 safe and boring boat ride

 another roller coaster ride!

 and she loved it!
they have a really neat aquarium attached to Legoland

Mia loved the aquarium, she just loves all creatures of the earth
The next day we tried the Animal Safari Park instead of the
San Diego Zoo. We made the mistake of giving her a map.
Ohhhh boy! She was directing us everywhere and what was
really scary is that she knew exactly where we were at all times
and would tell us to turn left or right. She definitely didn't get that from her mom.
Geography is not my strong suit!
These lions and tigers loved this car, it was too cute
We got to go on this safari ride around the whole park and that was
a lot of fun.

Dad and Mia at the zoo.
Mia as a bat, she was very excited that there were bats there.
We both love bats!
 off to the petting zoo
they gave out little brushes so they could brush the animals too.
this was the best part, these rainbow parrots. You could get
some sugar in a cup and they would actually climb on your hand!

Of course she absolutely loved it!
they even had a fun merry go round at the zoo!
she wanted a picture of this bird because he looks like
Blue from Rio.
We met my sister Bre and the kids at the beach before we left
I got to hold cute little Kyse
 All smiles
And then he puked all over me. Of course Rick was taking
pictures instead of helping. Thanks!
 Laith and Mia goofing off

Cute pics of my love bug. She's so funny, we were at a glasses
store and she got to see herself in the mirror up close. She says, "Mom you are right, I do
have freckles on my face." So cute! She has been a blast this summer!
 Rick and the kids
 beach bum

We had a great little trip as a family. It was fun to see
Mia have such a blast. She's so funny and smart. She cracks us
up constantly. I asked her to do something and she said, "Mom I can't
do this my entire life!" So dramatic :)
before we left it was raining, so right when she woke up
she took off her pjs, stood there naked, grabbed her raincoat and boots
and headed out the door to jump in puddles!

 love this pic
And this one.
I actually caught Mia in my shower singing and dancing to No Doubt
Holla Back Girl with a spoon as her microphone. It was soooo funny.
I secretly video taped it and may use it later on with her future husband or
some kind of embarassment. I didn't even know that she knew the words to that
song. Too cute!
