Thanksgiving

We flew up to Buhl, Idaho to spend Thanksgiving at
my parent's house. It was quiet: just my parents and my grandma
Lil, but it was a great weekend away

Last year, there was a HUGE snow storm, but this year the
weather was beautiful, Mia was sad there wasn't any snow though :(

Grandpa drove and brought his razor, so Mia was very
excited to ride on it. She wanted my dad to go REALLY fast.

Thanksgiving Day- we put my grandma Lil on a shuttle bus from
Rexburg, Idaho so she could spend the weekend with us, Aunt
Debbie came to dinner too. We had a bee fly in right when we
were about to eat, it was funny, I wish we could have gotten it
on camera.

Day after Thanksgiving we drove to Sun Valley, Idaho to get the snow Mia
wanted.

It was fun until the wind came and then it was FREEZING!

Mia enjoyed throwing snowballs

and building a snowman

my grandma Lil and I- then we went downtown to the shops
and had lunch

We were very lucky to spend the time with Grandma Lil or
as Mia would call her, Grandma L, Mia had her trapped in the playroom
for hours, she LOVED playing with her grandma. We love her so much!
Rick and I even did some midnight Black Friday shopping in Twin which was
hard work, because we had to drive 30 minutes just to get there, but we ended
up finding what we wanted and besides a very large woman running into Rick's knee and then
saying some some explicit language, it wasn't too bad!! It was a quiet Thanksgiving without
all my sisters and cousins, but it was a relaxing one! Can't wait for Christmas :)

Surprise Seattle Trip

Rick surprised me with a weekend trip to Seattle, he
wouldn't even tell me where I was going when I was at the
airport (so NOT my personality)

In front of Space Needle, last time
we were here, we were just dating and took
a huge road trip from Las Vegas, through Idaho, and ended
in Seattle. It was one of my favorite trips.

Always hard to get someone to take a picture of you :)
Seattle is an amazing place full of culture, we love this city

the leaves were so beautiful, we brought back
a some for Mia since we don't have colorful ones
at home.

We went to the amazing downtown art museum
where they were featuring Nirvana!! I was so
excited, because I was obsessed with them in the day.

this is what it was like outside 99.9 % of the time, freezing
side wind, and COLD!! Much better in the summer but it
was still fun- I ate a lot of clam chowder and hot chocolate
to keep warm.

famous fish market where the cute fisherman throw the fish

On the way home was an adventure, we actually took a train to Bellingham
Washington( beautiful) and it followed the ocean all the way there (so amazing)
then we got to the airport ( took a cab to get there) and they wouldn't let us on the
earlier flight so we rented a car and the girl gave it to us for $30 because we were only
using it for 3.5 hours. So we drove and went shopping and had lunch . I worked out!

this is the train ride. Soooo pretty! We had a lot of fun
shopping and eating. We didn't do much relaxing, because that's just
not our personalities when we are in a fun city. It was a whirlwind weekend
but really great!

Miss Mia's Preschool Pics

Someone please tell me how I am not supposed to
buy all of these pics!! I was a little worried being the Type A
mom about her taking pictures without me, but WOW!!
She posed like a little model! Here's my cutie :)
