Here is Mia as a little bee. We went
to Spooktacular on Friday night where
I work ( and where Mia will go to school)
First we dressed up at grandma's so
she could see her little costume.
Then we got a smile because we were telling her to
buzz around like a little bee and she started to.
She also had a little wand she held in her hands the
whole time and she was buzzing people with it.
And when someone asked her, she said she was
a "little bee buzz" Grandpa surprised us and showed
up at the school to see Mia in her costume. :)
Mom and Mia at Spooktacular- they had food,
games, candy, and costumes. It was fun.
They also had a cake walk and Mia danced around
when the music was on. She loved that- go figure.
Family pic- actually a cute one for a change :)
Here she is playing a game- putting a bean bag in a
hole. She LOVED the idea of getting prizes for playing
games, so I'm pretty sure she will like trick or treating this
year !!
Freaky note: One of the ROTC kids volunteering
was in my class the first year I taught and he was in 11th grade!
I will have high school graduates next year, can we say I'm getting old!!

Mia is 19 months old today. I can't believe it.
Look at all these teeth. She still has her brown
hair and her big blue eyes that make it hard
to tell her no. I think she gets cuter everyday,
but I am her mom so that might be bias.
She is saying full sentences and cracking everyone
up around her. Her newest is OH MAN, where did
grandma go (all day long), she calls for Rick but she
says, BABE!! as loud as she can because I call Rick babe.
My dad will say, how are you Mia, and she says, how
are you grandpa back at him. She knows like 3 spanish words
and when you ask her if she wants something, she says Si ( Thanks
Dora) She also says OKAY to everything in this hick accent.
She tells us she loves us every minute, she tells me to come on
and makes me follow her every move like I am one of her little
friends, she LOVES In and Out burger thanks to my parents
and literally eats almost an entire hamburger and fries with
sound effects like mmmm while she's dipping fries in the ketchup.
She actually told the ladies at nursery on Sunday
that the letter after M in her name is I and they
about freaked. She knows the colors blue, yellow,
and purple. She has to do everything herself without
ANY help or watch out for the temper tantrum. She
can never be left out, if you have a drink, she wants
one too. She still dances her little heart out but now she
dictates which songs she wants to hear. She gets major
giggles. She is a love bug ALL the time AKA hugs, hugs,
and more hugs.
She's hyper (can you tell) She's majorly attached
to her bear and that silly binky and when she
sees her bear, she yells, mom binky too please.
I love her so much, and I can't believe she's
19 months old today.

So we went to Boca Park where they had a little
carnival for Halloween. It wasn't exactly what
we thought it was going to be, but hey it was
okay. Vegas has NOTHING for kids. It's the
saddest thing. Anyway I had forgotten
how much I HATE ferris wheels til we got all
the way up at the top and we were stopped
to let other people on. I almost had a panic attack.
I did fake smile for Mia, but I don't think she
believed me by the look on her face. Oops.
She did love this though.
So Mia is not 36 in yet so she couldn't ride ANYTHING.
Definitely not going to Disney Land until she is tall enough
Anyway this kid who ran this ride actually let us go and
she was literally grinning ear to ear the entire time. She loves
planes. We went on it a few times because she was just too cute!
I know Rick won't like this pic but look at that
little smile. If you click on her, you will see she
really enjoyed the ride.

so we put Mia on this mini horse who was not
very slow, I had to walk next to her holding her
because he was soooo fast. I almost couldn't keep up.
She loved it though.
She was getting brave one handed and the guy
who owned the horse kept saying, "both hands please"
She LOVES horses, all animals really.
It was a fun family night. We went to Cheesecake
Factory afterwards and she had her favorite:
hamburger and fries. We thought she was done,
so our waitress came and got her food and she
got the lower lip going and started crying telling
her to come back and NO. We felt bad . So this is Mia and Spock's favorite
pastime now. He actually ENJOYS
being strolled around. It is too funny to watch.
and yes she does strap him in,
he looks unhappy in this picture but
he doesn't try and get out very often
so it must not be too bad. Side note:
Mia did get both flu shots and she's fine
in case any of you are on the fence. I'm with
germs all day so I didn't hesitate to keep her safe :)

On Saturday, we went to Gilcreast Farms to
pick out a few pumpkins. Mia had a lot of
fun. Cute story: Mia is down to one nap
now, but today she went up to Rick and wanted
him to pick her up, when he did she pretended
to snore and close her eyes, he said, Are you sleepy?
and she started fake snoring again, he said, do you want to
take a nap, and she said, Okay!! so he put
her in the crib to take a nap. He said it melted his heart.
walking in the pumpkin patch.

stepping on weeds.
look mom, I found one! She kept saying
her pumpkin was the baby, mine was the mom, and
Rick's was the dad.
This is where we find Spock on a daily basis- above
my potatoes in the pantry :)

How do I say no to this face? you tell me,
because I have a REALLY hard time doing it.
By the way: 18 month checkup, Mia is again
off the charts for her height and the doc says
he will bet $$ that she will be 6ft. Please NO
I had a hard time finding a husband taller than
me and I am only 5 ft 8 in. Plus we all know
that tall guys go for the short girls, so
let's just hope Mia is NOT 6 ft tall :)
It was Rick's Bday on the 29th so I got fun
party favors. Mia loved them.

Okay so the bad thing about having a pantry
filled with storage... an 18 month old who
begs for brownie mix daily and brings it out for
you to make. I did do it Sunday so
we could listen to conference though.
I don't think Spock ever dreamed he
would live in a house where he gets
strolled around. Well he does.
He is Mia's personal slave/best friend.
Whichever one you think fits best.

So here it is, Spock in Mia's baby stroller. She

also says her famous, "OH NO!!" She is so

dramatic. I love it :)
